Who we are

Little India Kitchen ("we", "us") is a home-based cottage food business operated from a private residence in Princeton, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit littleindiakitchen.com, place an order, or contact us, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Order details: your name, phone number, email (optional), city, delivery address, preferred day, notes, and the items you order.
Messages: anything you send us by email, WhatsApp, Instagram or our contact form.
Reviews: the name, city, rating and words you submit. If we approve a review, your first name (as you typed it), city, rating and review are shown publicly on our website.

Payment information

Online payments are handled by PayPal, including debit and credit card payments, and orders placed on Hotplate are handled by Hotplate. We do not see or store your full card number. These companies give us your name, email, phone and the amount paid so we can match the payment to your order.

Information stored in your browser

Our website saves your current order and the details you typed in the order form in your own browser (local storage), so they are still there if you refresh the page. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us until you place an order. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics tools on this site.

How we use it

To prepare, label, deliver or hand over your order.
To contact you about your order, for example to confirm a delivery time or let you know about a change.
To reply to your messages and questions.
To keep the records a small business needs for taxes, accounting and food-safety questions.
To publish your review on our website once we approve it. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
To send you our weekly menu, only if you ask us to. You can stop these messages at any time by replying "stop" or emailing us.

We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

With the services that help us take orders and payments, such as PayPal, Hotplate and WhatsApp; our order database (Supabase); and our email providers (including Resend, which sends our order confirmations). They process it under their own privacy policies.
With someone who helps us deliver your order, limited to your name, address and phone number.
If the law requires it, for example a valid request from a public health authority or court.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes, usually up to seven years. Messages and contact details that are not tied to an order are deleted when they are no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, except records we must keep by law.

Ask us to correct or delete it.
Stop receiving menu updates.

Keeping it safe

We keep order information in password-protected accounts and devices, and we only use it for the purposes above. No online service is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information such as card numbers by message.

Children

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be noted on our home page.
